Mesozoic Hall

HC Dinosaur supplied 15 museum-grade animatronic dinosaurs for a permanent exhibition hall at a natural history museum in Berlin. The collection includes a full-size Tyrannosaurus rex with realistic skin restoration, a Diplodocus, an Allosaurus, and a range of smaller species presented in scientifically reviewed dioramas. Every unit was built to meet strict museum conservation and fire-safety standards, with quiet-operating servo systems that keep ambient noise below gallery limits and lighting engineered to protect both the animatronics and adjacent real fossil displays. The installation includes synchronized movement programming, multilingual educational panels, and a central control system that allows curators to adjust show cycles, pause individual units for maintenance, and integrate with the museum's guided tour schedule. Commissioning included a two-week trial run monitored by the museum's conservation department before public opening. Delivery also included a digital maintenance dashboard, a curated soundscape of period-accurate vocalizations reviewed by the museum's paleontology department, and accessibility provisions such as low-rail viewing platforms for younger visitors. The exhibit's educational program has since been adopted as the model for two sister museums.
