Christmas Dino Fest

HC Dinosaur created a festive holiday attraction for a large shopping mall atrium in Tokyo: 12 animatronic dinosaurs dressed in seasonal Christmas styling, from a Santa-hatted Tyrannosaurus rex to a decorated Triceratops surrounded by gift boxes and snow-themed scenery. The units perform a synchronized choreographed show with holiday music, animated lighting, and gentle snow effects, running on a loop throughout mall operating hours. Because the installation sits directly above retail floor space, every unit was designed with compact footprints, low electrical draw, and reinforced overhead rigging approved by the building's engineering team. The project included festive theming elements, programmable show sequences for weekday and weekend schedules, and a fast dismantle plan so the mall could return to its normal layout within 72 hours after the holiday season ended. Show times were choreographed to align with mall foot-traffic peaks, and a dedicated app notified visitors of upcoming performances. The seasonal installation also included family photo stations, a countdown-to-show lighting sequence, and branded merchandise display points developed with the mall's marketing department.
